To tell the truth I have never been able to define what is the ski for me … in fact, skiing might be everything, it is what you would like it to be. It’s technique and customizing, physics and inspiration, fun and fatigue, relaxation and constancy of training, being crazy and being thoughtful, the peace on the summit and the adrenaline of the descent in fresh snow, or the desire to win through the gates, to stay together, and the competition. I could go on like this. To define skiing as a passion would not be enough; when I look at my group, I believe that for us skiing is more of a lifestyle, something that you just feel you are born to do, as for a musician or an artist. The desire to communicate these feelings, to teach them, comes as a matter of course: simply when you are fascinated with something, you can’t help but share it.
I believe that the main ingredient for the satisfaction of a student is for him to understand his objectives, and to understand the reason for which he relies on his ski instructor for a lesson. (As I have already written above, with your skis you can do so many things!). In short, the key is this: Do you want to improve yourself? We will work on technique and on “understanding the reasoning.” Do you want to train? We will work on the firm belief necessary to be competitive, or even better to win! Do you want to learn how to jump in the Snowpark because you can no longer ski the groomed runs with your mom and dad? It’s not a problem, I understand you. From one lesson to the next, they are always in the Snowpark!

With respect to the age of my students, I prefer to work with adolescents and adults: I find it the communication to be easier and I am able to transmit better what I am teaching, and can concentrate on my student’s needs. With regard to lesson content, coming from a competitive background, I feel very close to the world of racing, in addition, I am deeply convinced of the importance and high level of fun in the new school of Freeride and Freestyle.
